A police officer was shot and killed while trying to arrest a suspect in the slaying.

An FBI special agent has been charged with murder and criminal conspiracy in the case.
An autopsy found no evidence of foul play.
Authorities are searching for a suspect who they say may have helped the girl’s killer.
It’s not known if the suspect has been arrested.
Investigators were called to the scene about 8:30 p.m.
They say the girl had been taken to a park where a man was walking by when he was shot.
After the shooting, the girl collapsed in a ditch, the investigation found.
Her body was found later that night in a wooded area on the outskirts of Atlanta.
It is unclear if the girl survived the shooting.
She is survived by a brother and sister, according to police.
Family members told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that the family has struggled with addiction.
“We are very depressed,” the girl family’s mother told the newspaper.
Police say they are looking for anyone who may have witnessed the shooting or video.
The family was last seen alive around 9 p.ms.
Sunday in the area of Highway 8 and Highway 25.
Police are continuing to investigate.
