In Missouri, a judge has canceled the orders of child support for a child who has been adopted out to a family who does not have children.
The order was issued on February 11, 2019, by Judge Doreen Jones.
The judge said that the children were adopted out for $6,500 and $2,000 each.
The child support order was initially issued in November 2016, and was suspended on July 31, 2019.
The judge said in the order that the child’s father had not paid child support.
The father did not have custody of the children and did not appear to be financially responsible for them, the judge said.
She added that there is a lack of a good basis to support the payments, and the father’s refusal to pay child support is the reason for the suspension.
A representative of the state Department of Human Services did not respond to the request for comment.
