A child support agency that once took in the most needy children in Arkansas will be renamed “Love Child” to reflect its efforts to provide a better life for them, Arkansas Child Support Agency Director Paul Cush said.
The decision was made after a thorough review of the agency’s work, Cush told The Times.
It is a change that will be welcomed by families and the community as we continue to fight for better outcomes for our children.
We will be naming our agency after a man who is a true American hero who fought for all of us,” Cush, who served as chief of staff at the agency from 1998 to 2006, said in a statement.
In a statement released Monday, the Children’s Law Center said, “We are thrilled to welcome this change, which we believe will help the children in need of support and provide a safe environment for them to grow up.”
