Child support payments are usually paid in a series of installments.
Some of them are known as installments.
There are also monthly installments and periodic payments.
The first installment is usually paid on the first day of the month and usually is equal to the amount of the previous month’s support order.
The next installment is paid on January 1, February 1, and March 1.
The last installment is typically paid on May 1.

Child support can be paid in cash, by credit card or through an electronic fund transfer.
